Learn more →Why Gateway
Gateway Telecom Advisors was founded in St. Louis in the early 2000s by Rick Allman as Executive Technologies, supporting some of the region's largest enterprise customers on their PBX systems — Nortel, Avaya, Mitel, NEC, Toshiba — and the low-voltage infrastructure around them.
As the industry moved off premise hardware, the practice moved with it — from PBX into cloud voice and UCaaS, then business internet and SD-WAN, cybersecurity and SASE, contact center, cloud and data center, and telecom expense management. Today Gateway brings that full portfolio to your side of the table: vendor-neutral, with master-agency access to 200+ providers and zero quota bias.
Carrier-side training and credentials, applied with client-side incentives.
Recommendations track to your goals — not a rep's number.
Two to three competing proposals with transparent pricing and SLAs.
Gateway stays through implementation, escalations, true-ups, and renewals.
Gateway works with small and mid-market companies nationwide — from single-office professional firms to multi-site operators spread across states. Our deepest roots are in the St. Louis metro: we know which carriers actually have fiber in which buildings, and how long each one really takes to deliver a circuit.
That local knowledge matters more than it sounds. Availability for business internet in St. Louis changes block by block. A provider that can light up a suite in Maryland Heights next month may need a year to reach a building in Fenton, and no national comparison site will tell you that. We check what is actually serviceable at your address before we bring you a single quote.
Most of our work covers business phone systems and UCaaS, business internet and SD-WAN, cybersecurity and SASE, and telecom bill audits. Every engagement is sourced across 200+ providers, and the provider you select pays us — so our advisory work costs you nothing.

Straight answers about how a telecom broker works, what it costs, and where we fit.
We are an independent telecom and cloud broker. We define what your business needs, run a competitive selection across more than 200 providers, negotiate the contract, and manage the provider you choose through delivery. We are not a carrier and we do not resell one brand.
Nothing. We are compensated by the provider you select once a contract is signed, so our advisory work carries no fee to you.
A carrier representative can only sell you their own portfolio, so every recommendation points to one answer. We are vendor-neutral, which means we put your requirement out to competing providers and compare the results side by side. You see the market instead of one slice of it.
More than 200, through our partnership with Intelisys. That includes the national carriers, regional fiber providers, UCaaS and CCaaS platforms, and managed security vendors. The full list is on our providers page.
No. The provider you select performs the site survey, installation, and cutover. Our role is selection, negotiation, and managing that provider so the project stays on track and someone answers when there is a problem.
Cloud phone systems and UCaaS, contact center (CCaaS), SD-WAN, SASE, dedicated internet access and broadband, managed cybersecurity, cloud and colocation with backup and disaster recovery, and telecom expense management.
We are based in St. Louis and know the local carrier landscape well, but we support clients nationwide, including businesses with locations across multiple states.
